According to the media there, no reason has been given for the cancellation of the Saudi Crown Prince’s visit. He was to visit Pakistan on 21 November. According to the information received, now the Crown Prince will go directly to Indonesia to participate in the G20 summit.

Significantly, Pakistan was very excited about the visit of Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. In this sequence, recently Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari also made a two-day visit to Saudi Arabia to finalize the arrangements for the Saudi Crown Prince’s visit to Pakistan.

Meanwhile, Pakistan Foreign Office Spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch has informed that now the preparations for the visit will be finalized after the two sides agree on the new dates. Let us inform you that if this visit of the Crown Prince had been completed, then it would have been his first visit to Pakistan after the change of government there.

It is worth noting that in September, Pakistan’s PM Shahbaz Sharif had a phone conversation with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. At that time he had invited the Crown Prince to visit Pakistan. After this, the discussion started that during the visit of Prince Salman, Saudi Arabia would announce to start a big project here. There is also discussion that China, Saudi Arabia, and Pakistan will have a stake in this possible project.

According to observers, Saudi Arabia had long ago expressed its desire to build an oil refinery in Pakistan’s Gwadar with an investment of ten billion dollars. Some talks also took place in that regard. But Saudi Arabia got angry with some decisions of the former Imran Khan government. Hence the project did not go ahead. But now he is interested in it again.
